[07|05|04] Brazilian Culture invades Barcelona during 141 Forum days
From May 9 to September 26, the city of Barcelona, Spain, will be the meeting point of citizens from all over the over and stage to debates and discussions about main cultural and social conflicts of the XXI century. There will be 141 days with idea workshops spread out in the city parks, streets and auditorium. Expositions, shows, workshops, performances, dances and sports are scheduled for the event.
Brazilian performances will be present in Barcelona during the four months. Among them: Gilberto Gil Brazilian Culture Minister (May 14 and 15), Fernanda Abreu " carioca" (from Rio de Janeiro) singer (June 21 and 22), Marcos Valle composer and singer (July 17 and 18) and Adriana Calcanhoto "gaúcha" (from Rio Grande do Sul) (July 16 and 17).
The Brazilian dancing group "Pajelança e Dança dos Orixás" will also be at the event bringing a high impact of theater, dancing and music language besides its great plastic beauty. The group main purpose is to show the true Brazilian symbolism. "Pajelança e Dança dos Orixás" will be on in the city from May 9 to 15.
Barcelona Forum and Brazilian Global Cultural Forum have an official cooperation agreement signed in October 2003 by Culture Minister Gilberto Gil.
