A própria identidade cultural, o ser brasileiro, tem sólida raízes ancoradas na música. Daí, a oportunidade de falarmos sobre a história sob a ótica da música popular, significado que ganha substância e se amplia com a proximidade das comemorações dos 500 anos de Brasil.

Lábaro Estrelado é, assim, a continuidade de um trabalho desenvolvido pela Fundação Cultural, através do Teatro Castro Alves, em consonância com uma política cultural que valoriza o talento local mas, também, se abre a novas experiências. Da conjugação dos atores baianos, com a direção de Possi Neto e o texto de Cleise Mendes, nasce um espetáculo alegre, irreverente, que certamente vai falar ao coração do público baiano e com a marca de qualidade do Núcleo de Teatro do TCA.

The Brazilian soul is musical. Within this music of the soul is a vast universe of themes, characters and situations which fill the imagination of our poets and singers, parading in peaceful coexistence. The cultural identity of Brazilians has solid roots anchored in music. Thus the opportunity to speak of history through the perspective of popular music is significant and even more so with the coming of Brazil’s 500 year anniversary.

Lábaro Estrelado continues the work developed by the Fundação Cultural, through the Teatro Castro Alves, in accord with a political attitude about culture that values local talent and is also open to new experiences. From the combination of Bahian actors under the direction of Possi Neto and the screenplay by Cleise Mendes, a joyful, irreverant performance is born. Lábaro Estrelado with the signature of quality from the Núcleo de Teatro will certainly speak to the heart of the Bahian audience.
