CORTEJO AFRO

Sob o signo do sonho possível e no brilho dos metais, o Cortejo Afro simboliza um navio diferente das caravelas e dos sonhos despedaçados. É o navio da reconstituição e das realizações onde se reconhece o sentido e a cultura de um povo. Ele tem como objetivo reafirmar valores e aspectos da cultura negra na Bahia, respeitando a diversidade e incorporando novos elementos, visando o crescimento das comunidades às portas do século XXI. Resgata as cores perdidas do carnaval baiano através de uma dúplice aliança: a ética e a estética.

CORTEJO AFRO

Under the sign of the possible dream and in the shine of metals, Cortejo Afro symbolizes a ship different from the sailing vessels and broken dreams. It’s tshe ship of reconstitution and accomplishments where the meaning and culture of a people are recognized. Cortejo Afro’s goal is to reaffirm values and aspects of black culture in Bahia, respecting diversity and incorporating new elements towards the growth of communities on the brink of the XXI century. The group rescues the lost colors of the Bahian carnival though a double alliance: ethics and aesthetics.
