AS IDADES DO FADO

Lisboa é o cenário para ¨As Idades do Fado¨, um encontro entre a tradição e vanguarda desse ritmo que é o SEMPRE de Portugal. Dividem o palco as cantoras Argentina Santos, uma das mais renomadas fadistas de Portugal, com 47 anos de carreira e sucesso internacional; e Mariza Nunes, ex-cantora moçambicana de jazz, gospel e soul, que se rendeu ao fado apenas em 1998, causando repercussões positivas e revelando-se a grande promessa do fado português dos últimos tempos. Costurando passado e futuro, está o cantor e violonista Jorge Fernando, também responsável pela direção musical do espetáculo. Completando esse grupo temos Ricardo Dias no acordeom, Manuel Rocha no violino, e José Manuel Neto na guitarra portuguesa. Uma equipe luminosa de músicos, mostrando a beleza do fado em fiel retrato melódico do Portugal de ontem, hoje e sempre.

AS IDADES DO FADO

Lisboa is the scene for ¨As Idades do Fado¨, a meeting between tradition and the avant guarde in this rhythm that is ALWAYS Portugal. Sharing the stage are singers Argentina Santos, one of the most prominent fadistas of Portugal, with 47 years of a successful international career, and Mariza, a former jazz, gospel and soul singer from Mozambique, who in 1998 began immersing herself in fado, causing great repercussions and revealing herself as the current promise of Portuguese folk singing. Stitching together past and future is the singer and guitarist Jorge Fernando, also responsible for musical direction of the performance. And further integrating the group is Ricardo Dias on accordian, Manuel Rocha on violin, and José Manuel Neto on the Portuguese guitar. A brilliant team of musicians, revealing the beauty of fado in a loyal portrait of the Portuguese melody of yesterday, today and always.
