Considerado um dos mestres do tambor de sua geração, Kwaku Kwaakye Obeng leva o espírito, a cultura e a música do oeste da África para o mundo. Utilizando-se de técnicas e padrões rítmicos africanos, ele cria composições originais com contrapontos inusitados e melodias surpreendentes. Sua trajetória começou aos 17 anos, na Corte Real de Ghana, como tocador de tambor. Anos depois, como emissário cultural, KKO percorreu vários países com a Companhia Folclórica do Conselho Nacional das Artes de Ghana, recebendo influência dos mais diversos gêneros musicais de várias partes do mundo.

Considered one of the great master drum players of his generation, Kwaku Kwaakye Obeng carries the spirit, the culture and the music of West Africa to the world. Using African techniques and rhythmic patterns, he creates original compositions with innovative counterpoints and surprising melodies. He began his career at 17 years of age, in the Royal Court of Ghana, as a drum player. Years later, as a cultural emissary, KKO toured several countries with the Folkloric Company of the National Council of Arts of Ghana, taking in influences of the most diverse musical genres in various regions of the world.
