O paulistano Luiz Tatit é músico e compositor. Já gravou seis LPs e dois CDs em parceria com o grupo Rumo, uma das maiores expressões da "vanguarda paulista" nos anos 80. Tatit é co-autor de músicas lançadas por Ná Ozzetti, José Miguel Wisnik, Fábio Tagliaferri e Dante Ozzetti e já teve suas composições gravadas por Titane, Daúde e Ney Matogrosso. Ele também é Livre-Docente da Faculdade de Filosofia, Letras e Ciências Humanas da Universidade de São Paulo e autor de vários livros, entre eles "O cancionista: composição de canções no Brasil" (Edusp, 1996), e "Análise semiótica através das letras", lançado este ano pela Ateliê Editorial.

The Paulistano Luiz Tatit is both musician and composer. He has recorded a total of eight albums, six on vinyl and two on Cd in collaboration with the group Rumo, one of the Greatest expressions of the "Paulista Vanguard" of the 1980s. Tatit co-wrote music released by Ná Ozzetti, José Miguel Wisnik, Fábio Tagliaferri and Dante Pzzetti and his original compositions have been recorded by such artists as Titane, Daúde and Ney Matogrosso. He is also Associate Professor at the Liberal Arts Faculty at the University of São Paulo and author of several books including "O cancionista: composição de canções no Brasil" (The songwriter: Composing songs in Brazil) published by Edusp in 1996 and "Análise semiótica através das letras" (Semantic analysis through letters) released this year by Ateliê Editorial.
