Metropolitan Park
Pulsate is a 24 hour non-stop independent time
zone with an immersed atmosphere induced via silicone
beats and hypnotic, southern projections. It is
a longlasting, open-air party driven by psytrance,
which has already taken place on four occasions.
They have all surprised the public with their
atmosphere, which brings together excellent national
and international DJs, VJs, visual artists and
ultra-violet decoration. The whole concept is
based

on research within
the universe of trance culture, which keeps up with
the quality of events of this type, held outside Brazil.
The party takes place among the trees of Pituaçu
Metropolitan Park and is associated with the VI Mercado
Cultural program. Among Pulsate’s confirmed attractions
are Yagé live! (Argentina/Germany), Dex
(soononmoon), Divino (soononmoon), Nazca (soononmoon),
Bone (soononmoon), Ets (soononmoon), Fino (sound environment),
Daniel bpm (sound environment), Xcamas (soononmoon),
Sly (soononmoon) and the Wagon Cookin’.

Stolen in Time)

Goethe Institute’s studio patio (ICBA)
Artist curator Viga Gordilho’s procedural
and traveling exhibition “Affections Stolen
in Time” will be installed during the VI
Mercado Cultural, at the Goethe Institute’s
studio patio (ICBA). It comprises a display of
objects/ affections created by 730 artists from
the American, European and African continents.
365 modules, which correspond to each day of this
current year, are on display in an intimate location
where the visitor can connect with himself and
the identity source of each

|
|
artist, with conceptual interactivity.

Zauber Multicultura
Zauber Multiculture presents an associated display
with a varied program, which includes workshops,
a painting and photography exhibition, round table,
cinema, puppet theater and shows on 09/12 and
BlacKitude’s project Black Market: Image,
Rhythm and Poetry on 10/12. Zauber Multiculture,
which opened in Salvador this year, brings together
music and visual arts in one of the city’s
most important historical areas. The space is
a meeting

point between
the old and modern in a privileged and magic environment,
as the name Zauber (meaning enchantment, fascination and
illusion in German) suggests.

Teatro ICBA
Em Abra-Palavra, primeiro cd de Vitor Santana
e Mariana Nunes, eles mostram um trabalho que
privilegia ritmos brasileiros aliados à
técnica desenvolvida no estudo do violão
erudito. O repertório, marcado por toadas,
afro-sambas e baiões, torna visíveis
suas inspirações musicais. Vitor,
além de violonista, é cantor e dono
de um timbre forte, que se completa com a suavidade
da voz de sua partner, Mariana Nunes, autodidata
que integra o coral Voz e Companhia - um dos mais

|
importantes
de Minas gerais. Por tais peculiaridades, a dupla atinge
o público de maneira singular, combinando exatidão
técnica e sentimento.
